Monkey Business

September 5, 2008

Right – so if you’ve been keeping up with the Little Nut Tree… you would know that a certain furry friend went missing.

And no, I’m not trying to surreptitiously tell you that I’ve had a wax down under resulting in the accidental removal of my ..err.. delicate lady area 🙂
About a week ago, Monkey mark 1 went missing after a trip to the shop.

Being that Ella is rather attached to said monkey, I spent £37 replacing him with Monkey mark 2.

Ella was none the wiser and eBay had come to our rescue in the form of ‘Debs’ who charged me an extortionate amount of money for an apparently rare and discontinued monkey toy that is much sought after.

Allegedly & some more apparently.

Luckily for all of us, Debs foresaw this likely increase in demand for said rare, plush monkey and snapped up a few, 5 years ago to sell later.

Phew! 😉

But… the twist in the tale?

That is two Monkeys you see there.

Four legs and two little Monkey bottoms.

And one cheeky little monkey in the middle!

So – it seems that the Monkey mark 1 – hadn’t taken his last trip, he was just playing good hide and seek.

Ella – needless to say – is rather happy about this latest development

Of course, the big issue now is that if you lose monkey, you will manage to lose both simultaneously and then will have to buy 2 more because 1 will no longer be good enough.

And then you’ll end up with 4.

Should it actually be a twist in the ‘tail’?

And how was monkey multiplication actually discovered?

He was in the cupboard at the top of the stairs!! All of our electrics are fucked – BN went downstairs to fix the fuse board and spotted him!

I’m obviously mean and heartless, I would have hidden one for next time he went missing in action

I can’t say the same thing hasn’t occurred to us!

Give it a couple of days for the excitement to wear off and one Monkey may go for a holiday…. in the back of my wardrobe 🙂
