Sausages!, originally uploaded by Mrs BN.

We spent the weekend clearing out the garden and clearing some of our older worldly possessions into a skip.

I use the term ‘we’ very loosely – seeing as I didn’t actually do anything.
I am all swine-flued up so not very useful – and in fact even spending Saturday afternoon clearing up the kitchen and making sandwiches was enough to wipe me out for Sunday.

This Swine Flu thing is not so much anything as it is knackering. Very sore throat, and just generally knackered. Feels like really bad tonsillitis with a dose of hangover.

Anyway.

Our friend – good friend – Bugs, helped BN clear out the garden and load all manner of things into the skip and then we can finally see our patio again. It’s not the best patio it has to be said. It’s a bit pink and it’s very dirty – but it is ours.

And you know what? You should see how happy these little girls are to be outside. They don’t care it’s only a patio. They don’t care that it’s dirty and scutty and not very big.

They have just loved being outside. It’s been reasonably sunny and they have played with coloured water in jugs – a favourite pass time of ours when we were younger courtesy of our Nana and Poppy. It kept them amused for hours… and it brought back lovely memories for me….

This was their first BBQ in their garden – they had sausages and coleslaw and loved it!

I’d forgotten the coloured water jugs! Must do that.

If you lived closer I have just the thing for the girls for the patio.
    Darn.
